This morning I stepped in the shower and found this little thing hanging from our crown molding. What the heck is it?

At first I thought it was a leaf. Then I noticed the small wormy thing starting to move. Of course, I was already in the shower, so there was not much I could do about it at that moment. I considered running the shower on it, but I didn't want it to hit my feet, and then I would have felt bad for killing it. (I know I am a loser.) So, my whole shower I was slightly on edge in fear that it might take flight on me while I had my eyes closed or something. Just thought I would share.
